Arduino Introduction
Background
The Arduino platform was designed to simplify electronics
for beginners. We'll use it for later labs, so this exercise
will get you familiar with the device and the development system.
Objectives
- To become familiar with the Arduino platform.
- To produce output to an LCD display.
Equipment
- Arduino Uno board
- Sharp LCD display
OR
LCD00255 Display
Note: You may not need the backlight connected.
The backlight is an LED, so if you use it you must use a series
resistor. The recommended value is 220 Ω
Procedure
Setup
- Set up the arduino with the software, and test the setup by
using the sample Blink sketch.
Demonstrate the program working.
- Follow the instructions in the
LiquidCrystal/HelloWorld sketch to wire and test
the program using the display provided.
Demonstrate the program working.
Show your pin assignments on the pin assignment diagram.
